Dr. Dre and Friends Give Electrifying Performance for Superbowl LVI

Dr. Dre and Friends Give Electrifying Performance for Superbowl LVI

Can you say this performance was everything and a bag of Rap Snacks! Dr. Dre was joined on stage on Superbowl Sunday with some of Aftermath’s biggest icons. Of course we knew that it wouldn’t be a show without Mr. Snoop Dogg, there’s something about those two together that makes me feel like California Dreaming. Whenever Snoop breaks out into his infamous Crip Walk I forget that I am one black person who was born without rhythm and I begin to hop right along.

Next to join the stage was none other than Curtis Jackson, suspended upside down and just as chiseled as ever sporting a signature white wife beater. Surrounded by gorgeous beauties, he performed his smash hit In Da Club off his Get Rich or Die Trying album.

All Hail The Queen Mary was the next one to grace us with her presence. Looking just as beautiful as she always does she strutted around in those thigh high boots we all love. She performed her song No More Drama and she sounded just like vintage Mary. I was upset that she didn’t break into her signature dance moves that me and all the girls were waiting for.

Kendrick Lamar was a great surprise but I was secretly hoping for Ice Cube. No, Cube was not on Aftermath but the two were together in N.W.A. and I’m sorry whenever I think Dre I think Snoop and Cube along side of him. Not having Ice Cube is like having koolaid with no sugar. Still Kendrick had a great segment performing Alright. He has backup dancers all dressed in black and was it just me or were they paying homage to Public Enemy’s S1W’s?

Now I wouldn’t necessarily call it saving the best for last because can’t nobody come between me and my Snoop but those people in the crowd went crazy when Eminem showed up and yes he showed up and showed out. He gave us classic Eminem and broke out into Lose Yourself which was the number one single from his 8 Mile soundtrack.

This Superbowl Halftime Show was nothing short of amazing and everything we have been looking forward to since we learned of the line up. I don’t think there has been a better halftime show since Ms. Jackson If You Nasty!
